Prayer was probably the one of the most challenging areas in my life when I was a young Christian. I felt like sometimes I was just talking to myself and didn’t know if I was praying correctly or if God was even hearing me. I also couldn’t understand how I was supposed to hear from God. Was I supposed to hear Him speak to me with words or even whisper to me in my head? It was an honest struggle.
If you’re feeling that way as well, let me just help you with a little tidbit of information. God hears you all the time. He is all-knowing and knows what you’re walking through. He knows what your struggles are. He sees your wins in life. Prayer honestly is just communicating with God…and He hears you every time!
However, even though I had these doubts about my prayer life, I didn’t give up, which was key to how my relationship with God has blossomed and become so much deeper. Know that the more time we spend with God, the more our relationship with Him will grow.
I also want to share with you that your prayers are so powerful! Did you know that you don’t have to pray just because you’re supposed to or just because it makes you feel better? You can pray to actually get results!
