This week’s episode is a little bit more sensitive in nature. We’re going to talk about something that I don’t think is talked much about, but is something that many teen girls struggle with today…and even if you honestly don’t feel like you fit into this category, chances are, you will have a friend that you can help shine the light of Jesus on while pointing her in the right direction.
This week and next week, we’re going to be talking about secret sins…how to make sure we don’t find ourselves in a place where we are hiding secret sins…and if there are any secret sins that we have in our lives, how we can overcome them, so we don’t go back there again.
I read a statistic recently that said 70% of teens hide their online activity from their parents. Something that I often tell teens is…even if you honestly aren’t doing something wrong, if you feel you need to hide something from your parents, it’s in that moment of hiding that you are stepping into sin.
Proverbs 28:13 tells us that if we hide our sins, we will not succeed…they will be found out. However, if we confess them and reject them, we may get in trouble, but we will have mercy.
If you find that you’re in a place where you know that you are hiding secret sins and you feel so guilty or ashamed about it. There is hope for you. There is healing for you. There is freedom for you. Even if you’re pretty sure that those secret sins have turned into secret addictions.
