It’s so easy for us to want to be someone that we’re not. We are an expert at picking out all the things we don’t like about ourselves, but when it comes to finding things we like, it’s almost impossible.
However, did you know that God created you just the way you are on purpose, and He saw you as something good!
Ecclesiastes 3: 11 tells us that God has made everything beautiful in its time and that He has a purpose for your life! He wants to use you to do something big with your life. He wants to use you to be a world-changer! The way that you were made fits right into what it is that God created you to do.
Ephesians 2:10 says that you are God’s masterpiece. He had a plan for your life before the world was even formed. Way before you were ever born, He thought about every detail about you and said, “I want her so she can use who she is to shine the light of Jesus in this world.
You are unique! Which means you are a one of a kind. There is no one in this world like you…and that is an amazing thing.
When you try to become someone you’re not, because you’re different, it’s frustrating. The best we can ever be when we try to be like someone else is second best.
Embrace who it is that God created you to be. Yes, there are things we need to work on and grow in. As you grow in your walk with God, He will begin to work on those things, but He can’t use you if you don’t like who you are.
