170. God Wants to Heal the Broken Places in Your Life
Growing up, I believed so many lies from the enemy. Lies that I was a nobody. That I was worthless. That I was unlovable. That nobody cared about me. I was a reject. I hated everything about myself. I absolutely hated being alone, because that’s when all of these thoughts would come at me the strongest.
When I was 17 and gave my life to Jesus, I wish I could say that all of those thoughts went away, but they didn’t. I still struggled a lot.
I remember thinking as a new Christian that I was broken beyond repair. I used to ask myself, “Why am I like this?” Why can’t I make friends… I don’t just mean those people you say hi to here and there, but those close friends who are there for you no matter what. I don’t want to be alone anymore. Why can’t I be different? What’s wrong with me?”
I’m just thankful that at this point in my life, I was crying out to God as I was asking these questions. My heart-cry at this time was, “God change me. Show me what I need to do and I will do it!”
What I didn’t realize back then was after giving my life to Jesus, I had the power on the inside of me to watch those dead areas of my life come to life. I had the power on the inside of me to heal those broken places. I had the power on the inside of me to get rid of the loneliness.

Romans 4:17-21-“As it is written, “I have made you the father of many nations”—in the presence of the God in whom he believed, who gives life to the dead and calls into existence the things that do not exist. In hope he believed against hope, that he should become the father of many nations, as he had been told, “So shall your offspring be.”
He did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body, which was as good as dead (since he was about a hundred years old), or when he considered the barrenness[
